Tropical Helicopter complies with the Transportation Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security guidelines for flight schools, and instructors.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires that you are assessed through the Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) to establish that you are not a threat to aviation or national security (49 CFR Part 1552). You must go through the following steps:
Go to flightschoolcandidates.gov and click on "new account" under "If you are a AFSP candidate" near the bottom of the page.
Complete and submit the "On line account request form" You will receive an e-mail with your User ID and Password.
When you Log In with a User ID and Password it will take you to the AFSP application for flight school candidates.
Compete the application, submit a copy of your passport (faxed or scanned allowed) and pay the fee (credit cards are accepted)
The TSA will then notify you by email how and where to submit your fingerprints. The AFSP will suggest the website www.tsc-csc.com/printoffices.
You may begin training once your Tropical Helicopter has received a “Permission to Receive Flight Training” confirmation notice from the AFSP.
